MEMORY PALACE – IMPERMANENCE Lyrics

Impermanence and acceptance, hand in hand,
A lesson to embrace, a truth to understand.
Letting go of attachments that bind our souls,
Whilst finding peace as the universe unfolds.

In a vast tapestry of life, things come and go.
In a vast tapestry of life, things come and go…

Impermanence won’t go away,
I know it’s back, it’s here to stay,
Impermanence won’t go away, won’t go away.

Accepting our impermanence, we find solace within,
Embracing this transient life force, a hell of a spin.
From the cradle to the grave, we journey this earthly plane,
With a heart and open mind.

Like waves upon the shore. They rise and fall,
Like waves upon the shore. They rise and fall…

Impermanence won’t go away,
I know it’s back, it’s here to stay,
Impermanence won’t go away, won’t go away.
Impermanence won’t go away,
I know it’s back, it’s here to stay,
Impermanence won’t go away, won’t go away.

So I gather you all here today,
There’s something I need to tell you…
I kinda have, a confession.

In a vast tapestry of life, things come and go,
Like waves upon the shore, they rise and fall, teaching us acceptance above all.

We miss you and we pray,
While we saviour ourselves today,
Why did you have to leave?
I love you Emilie…
