Alex Velea, born Alexandru Ionuţ Velea on May 13, 1984, is a prominent Romanian singer, songwriter, television personality, and actor from Craiova. He has made significant contributions to the Romanian music industry and is recognized as one of its iconic figures. Velea’s career took off after he won the reality competition show Star Factory in 2003-2004 and participated in the Romanian version of Big Brother.
Velea’s musical debut was marked by his collaboration with Anna Lesko on the song „Nu mai am timp” in 2004. He gained further popularity with his collaboration with Anda Adam on the hit song „Ce ti-aș face/Selecta” in 2005. Over the years, he has released numerous successful singles, including „Doar ea,” „Secret (discret),” „Don’t say it’s over,” and „Când noaptea vine,” among others. In addition to his music career, Velea has been involved in television and reality shows. Notably, he participated in the show Dansez pentru tine in 2007, where he and his partner won first place, raising funds for a noble cause.
